जेट एयरवेज (Jet Airways) के कर्मचारियों को पिछले चार महीने सैलरी नहीं मिली है.
पहले इंजीनियरिंग यूनियन और फिर पायलट यूनियन ने आवाज उठाते हुए सरकार से इस समस्या का समाधान करने की गुजारिश की है.
दिनों-दिन हालात खराब होते जा रहे हैं. पायलटों का कहना है कि उनकी स्थिति बहुत खराब हो रही है, वे तनाव में काम कर रहे हैं. कुछ पायलटों का कहना है कि उन्हें अपना घर चलाने के लिए मां के गहने तक गिरवी रखने पड़ रहे हैं. वहीं कुछ का कहना है कि उन्होंने शादी स्थगित कर दी है. जेट एयरवेज पर कथित तौर पर एक अरब डॉलर का कर्ज है.
एयरलाइन अपने ऋणदाताओं और विमान लाइसेंस का भुगतान भी नहीं कर पा रही है और कई विमानों का संचालन रोक दिया है.
बतौर पायलट दो दशक का अनुभव रखने वाले बोइंग 777 के कमांडर कैप्टन करण चोपड़ा ने कहा, 'तनाव का स्तर बढ़ता रहेगा, हम कितनी भी कोशिश कर लें और कितना भी उसे पीछे छोड़ दें.
हम पूरी कोशिश करते हैं, लेकिन हम भी इंसान ही हैं.
पायलटों को सैलरी न मिलना एक अनुचित तनाव है और इसका तुरंत समाधान किया जाना चाहिए.'

कैप्टन चोपड़ा पायलट यूनियन के प्रमुख हैं और
उन्होंने नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु को लिखे खत में खुल कर पायलटों की बात कही है.
उन्होंने कहा कि तनाव के दौर में सुरक्षा से समझौता होने की संभावना है
और
जिस प्रोफेशन में सबसे ज्यादा सतर्कता और सुरक्षा चाहिए, वहां यह नहीं होना चाहिए.
एक अन्य पायलट कैप्टन आसीम वालियानी ने बताया, '
सभी 1100 सदस्यों ने फैसला किया है कि अगर उनकी दो मांगें पूरी नहीं की गई तो एक अप्रैल से विमान उड़ाना बंद कर देंगे. हमें हमारी सैलरी और क्लियर रोड मैप चाहिए. अगर ये मांगें पूरी नहीं होती है तो हम उड़ान बंद कर देंगे.'

वहीं दूसरी ओर सैंकड़ों पायलट्स ने दूसरी एयरलाइन में नौकरी के लिए संपर्क किया है. कैप्टन वालियानी ने बताया, 'अगर एयरलाइन डूबती है तो मार्केट में करीब 1500 पायलट होंगे, और मुझे नहीं लगता कि हर किसी को नौकरी मिल पाएगी. इसलिए हर कोई खुद को बचाने में लगा हुआ है. मैं इसके लिए किसी पर आरोप नहीं लगा रहा हूं.' अगले कुछ दिन एयरलाइंस के भविष्य के लिए काफी अहम होंगे.
पायलटों की यूनियन का कहना है कि बिना सैलरी के वे अपना परिवार नहीं चला पा रहे हैं. कैप्टन चोपड़ा ने कहा, 'पायलटों की समस्याओं को हल करें. वे बहुत कष्ट से गुजर रहे हैं.' साथ ही उन्होंने कहा, 'पायलटों को अपनी ईएमआई भरनी होती हैं. बच्चों की शिक्षा है, बुजुर्ग परिजन हैं और अस्पताल के बिल हैं. शादियां स्थगित कर दी गईं. यंग फर्स्ट ऑफिसर्स मुझे बार-बार कॉल कर रहे हैं और कह रहे हैं 'सर हमें अपनी माताओं के गहने गिरवी रखने पड़ेंगे. प्लीज हमें बचा लो. प्लीज प्रबंधन से हमारी सैलरी देने के लिए कहिए.'
