On behalf of the Association of Indian Lenders, late last night we were informed by SBI that they are unable to consider our request for interim funding. Since no emergency funding was possible from lenders or any other funding source, it would not be possible for us to pay for fuel or other important services to keep the operation going.
As a result, with immediate effect, we are forced to cancel all our domestic and international flights. This decision has been taken after receiving guidance and advice from the board of directors of Jet Airways and the Board of Directors of all the options.
In the past several weeks and months we have tried every way to seek funding, to keep our operations current, also for long-term funding in the interim. Unfortunately, despite our efforts being very good, we have not been left with any other choice today.
Making such a decision is not easy, but without the interim fund, for which we are requesting again and again, we are simply unable to operate the flights in such a way that our guests, employees, partners and service providers
